How to create Facebook Email ID claim your Facebook Email

If you have already notice Facebook added the email service for you. Now you can have your own email ID from Facebook. By simply turning on the email id you will able to receive emails from your friends and contacts. So, what does Facebook Email service means and what does it do ?

It is simple just like the ordinary email services. You will able to receive emails from anybody just using your Facebook email id. Such as you give your email id as yourname@facebook.com and then when someone send email to this address you will receive that email inside your Facebook message box. So, it is all simple  as like all other email services like Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail etc.You can also send emails through Facebook and your email address will be just like username@facebook.com

Now the question is how you will able to turn on the email service or create your Facebook email address. I guess you already have a personal url from Facebook example: http://www.facebook.com/username . Its your profile address or you can say your web bio data address or whatever you call it. When you will claim Facebook email address your email will be same just like your profile name. example: username@facebook.com


How to Create Facebook Email Address:
 Step 1:Go to Facebook and from your homepage select the Message or Facebook message inbox.

Step 2: Now in the top left of your message inbox you will see a link "Claim Your Facebook Email" click on it.

Step 3: A new window will popup "Receive emails as a part of your Facebook conversations. Your email address will match your public username" and it will also show your profile address and your new email address. Now click on the "Activate Email" button.

 Step 4: You are now ready to use Facebook email service. You will see a message in the same window contain your username@facebook.com. Now click on the "Next" button to finish the process.

Step 5: Now give your email address to your friends and contain for example: dev.bjay@facebook.com - my Facebook email id your will be username@Facebook.com , whenever someone send email to this address you will receive emails in your message box.
