The DirecTV app for iPad got a significant bump in capabilities today by adding live streaming to giving you essentially a portable TV you can take to any room of your house. 
You have to be on the same network as your DirecTV receiver, and not all channels are available. I'm not seeing the pay movie channels, or the local channels, which are all a matter of rights with the owners of those channels. I counted 38 available channels for streaming, including CNN, Fox News, National Geographic, FX, History Channel, Discovery and many more. You can watch the video in a window hovering over the program guide, or watch full screen.

This new update also allows you to change start and end times of a recording if you think a program time needs adjusting. The app has also added an option to set parental controls on your receiver from the iPad. 
Other TV providers, notably Comcast, have been working on streaming live TV to the iPad. The app is free and requires iOS 4.2 or later.

In order to regiter your phone, follow the step from the page and by enterin your country code and phone number as well as country name, then sendind an SMS containin the word 'GO' to the number display.In the U.S, this is 40404 so by doing this you are now verifying your phone with Twitter account.

Once you have done it, you will able to tweet by sending an sms to that same number. Add it as a contact in your iPhone address book, and then to get Siri to tweet it for you, all you have to do is dictate a message to "Twitter" ppit will then send an sms with the tweet to Twitter, which will in turn post that tweet for you. How to Facebook status update with siri 
If you want to update your Facebook status using siri you need to do the same method as we have explained about twitter. First go to <a href="https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=mobile">Facebook Mobile Settings page</a> and after the page is fully loaded click Add a phone. You will be prompted to enter your password, and then to select your country an mobile carrier. Finally text the letter "F" to 32665. After you send the F letter to 32665 you will get a confirmation code that you are successfully registered.

Finally apple has released another update for Apple TV. This new version is Apple TV update 4.4.2. As Apple as facing some strange problems with the recent Apple TV updates which were report by Apple TV clients and with widespread reports of devices having to be restored using iTunes after the 4.4 and 4.4.1 updates. If you are already running version 4.4 or 4.4.1 then you should update the latest version to 4.4.2 or later on.Apple wants you to perform a system reset before updating to any latest version for security purpose.

Apple TV devices with software version 4.4 and 4.4.1 have an issue with updating software to latest versions. The recommended way to resolve this is go to 
Settings > General > Reset > Rest All Settings 
This will resport all factory settings there for you will able to update. 
Note: If you apply the software update without resetting first, the updater will reset settings for you. 
 
Once you have reset the settings, you can update the software in the usual way. Apply has issued an apology for this inconvenience and hopefully this will be the end of strange update problems for the latest Apple TV. Let us know if you update nad how it works for you.

Google has announced the new Google Android OS Version 4.0 which is call Ice Cream Sandwich. A lot more features has been added to this new android. So, developers are waiting for the source code so that they could start working and developing new application for Android 4.0.It looks like Google will soon release the code for Ice Cream Sandwich to the Android Open-Source project.Thanks to a Google+ post penned by Jean-Baptiste Queru, the Technical Lead of the Android Open Source Project, and his link to an email written by Google engineer Dan Morrill, we do indeed have confirmation that Android 4.0 source code will see the light of day. “We plan to release the source for the recently-announced Ice Cream Sandwich soon, once it’s available on devices”, Morrill said in his Google Groups post.

Later this week google officially announced the Android 4.0 in HongKong AsiaD conference. Ice Cream Sandwich with the new release of Samsung Galaxy Nexus the first phone which will run with the Android OS 4.0. 
 
While Ice Cream Sandwich may usher in a new era of awesomeness for Android, developers were quick to note that the introduction ceremony (so to speak) was lacking in the release of any and all Ice Creamy source code. Some wondered if Google would take the same approach to Android 4.0 that it did to its predecessor, Honeycomb, and avoid releasing the source code to the public. 
 
At the time of its release, Google decided not to make Honeycomb available due to its being targeted at tablets, and, as Google VP of Engineering Andy Rubin told BusinessWeek: “To make our schedule to ship the tablet, we made some design tradeoffs … we didn’t want to think about what it would take for the same software to run on phones”. Google didn’t want to take a chance of “creating a really bad user experience”, so it kept Honeycomb’s code out of public hands.

Microsoft is going to drop a little future in your like a ton of bricks will you mind for that ? this HoloDesk uses a half silvered mirror and a Kinect sensor to see your hands in a 3D space then project visible objects on and around them, allowing you to juggle virtual spheres , play with phones , and generally get all minority report up in this piece. 
 
According the the Microsoft Research Blog, this is only one of the upcoming 3D projects coming out of Redmond. Writes researcher Steve Clayton: 
 
    I would not attempt to describe what it does in great detail, except to say that with Holodesk you can manipulate 3-D, virtual images with your hands. Whilst this is only a research project at this stage, I can envisage future applications in areas such as board gaming, rapid prototype design or perhaps even telepresence, where users would share a single 3D scene viewed from different perspectives. I know it sounds very Star Trek but this is not science fiction.
