How to watch YouTube Videos in Slow or Fast Speed Playback

Many times while we are watching something on Facebook we might would like to watch slow motion of the video for details and in case of we don't have much time make it faster. While you are watching a physics particles understanding video, it is important to see slowly how the particles are moving, or if you are watching a boring documentary movie and like to finish it as fast as you can. The YouTube video player enables the option for you that you can easily change the playback speed of your videos.

Your Playback speed change let your limit the speed of the video you are watching as you want it to be. You can either switch to fast motion mode or just can slow it down.This gives you more conform while watching any video on YouTube. With just few steps you can actually watch it. First think that you need to know if the option yet not visible to your default YouTube video player then follow the below steps:

How to enable Playback Speed Option On YouTube
Step 1: Visit youtube.com/html5 and click on Request The HTML5 Player to enable the advanced player for you on your YouTube.

When you finish clicking your HTML 5 player will be ready to used when possible.

How to change Playback Speed On YouTube Videos

Option 1: 
Step 1: Now go to the link of the video you that you want to watch in slow or fast motion eg: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpQdMM6Vr70

Step 2: Now when the video start click on the Gear Settings icon and select the Speed. The default video speed will be Normal. You can choose 0.25 or 0.5 for slow motion and 1.5 or 2 for fast motion.

If you do not see the option to adjust the playback speed in your YouTube player, you are probably using the default Flash based video player.Don't worry we still have option 2 :
Option 2:
Step 1: First you will need to have VLC player installed. Open your VLC player and click on Media from menu and select Open Network Stream... (Shortcut Key: Ctrl+N)

Step 2: Now copy paste the YouTube video link that you wish to watch and click on Play button.

Step 3: From top menu Click on Playback and Select Speed as you like. You can choose Fast, Faster for fast motion and Slow Slower for Slow motion.

Unlike the YouTube player where you can only change the speed by a factor or .25x, .5x, 1.5x or 2x, VLC Player offers finer control. You can drag the slide to choose any speed between .25x to 4x of the original speed.
