How to disable Spotify sharing on facebook

As now Spotify and facebook are jointed together so facebook is turning into musical ways. Now spotify users will able to share what they are listening too on facebook. Also on the other hand spotify is required all users to sign up with their facebook account. By the default settings , whatever you are going to listen inside spotify will be shared in your wall and the new ticker. you can check out old post - How to disable facebook ticker.

There can be so many reasons why you would like to stop sharing what are you listen too. Like whenever you listen to something it will be shared in your Facebook so your friends can see them.May be you are listen to a show that you won't like to share. May be you are listening sad music at night 3 A.M and you don't like to show it off. There can be 1000's of reasons why you would like to stop sharing.

So, lets not make dis discuss more longer and lets come to our point:
How to disable spotify sharing on facebook

Step 1:First of all to stop Spotify from sharing the songs you listen to on Facebook, open Spotify preferences. Then uncheck the box labeled Get personal recommendations by sending music you play to Facebook's Open Graph. thats all you need to do. Your Spotify activity will once again be private. See below image:

 Go to your preferences on Spotify, make sure the above box is unchecked to stop sharing on Facebook.

If you want to share music with only selected friends then follow the next steps :

Step 2: If you would like to share music with few selected friends you can do that using your privacy settings in Facebook.open Facebook Privacy Settings from the pull-down menu in the upper-right corner.See below image:

 Step 3: Next, click on the Edit Settings link for Apps and Websites.See below image :

Step 4:Find Spotify on the list of Apps you use and click on it. On the settings page for Spotify, scroll down until you see App activity privacy. You'll notice it's Public by default. Click on it and you can change it to Friends of Friends, Friends, or Customize.

 Step 5: Choose Customize and you can choose Specific People or Lists. From here, you can choose specific friends or groups to add to the list, and you can also hide other friends or groups from seeing your Spotify activity.
