How to enable Timeline profile on facebook

Facebook is introducing Timeline it is still under beta launch. But you can still enable the facebook Timeline or snapbook. This is actually a stream of information about you, the photos you have posted, the status you have updated , the apps you have used, even the places you have visited on a world map, that scrolls all the way back to your birth. It encourages you to post more stuffs about your past , such as baby pictures, using facebook as a scrapbook or you can even call it your pastbook.

To enable the Facebook Timeline use the following steps :

Step 1 : First of all you need to visit a page the facebook developer page click here. Now enable it for your account.You will get request to do so.

Step 2: The button to create a new app can be found in the top right corner of the app page so click on it. Just give a app name and also a name space when request remember not all name will be accepted so give something which other didn't used just like username.Don't worry about the name this app will be provide and no one else will able to see this app so just give any name you like and continue.accept the Platform Privacy agreement by checking the box. You will have to have a verified Facebook account,that means either you have to to have a account verified by credit card or mobile number.

Step 3: After  you have create the name and accepted the terms of conditions, you will then be taken to your shiny new apps settings page. You will see an Open Graph option on the left-hand side. Click on it.

Step 4: Now you have to select an action for your app . you can enter either you like it to view by others or one one will able to see it and done, so don't fret too much over the details. (We entered "People can 'high five' a 'video'" as our action just select anything and enter it as it will ask for a action just select from the slidebar). Click on Get Started once you have entered your action.[Remember after you have given the name and get started and it is accepted your facebook timeline is started.

Step 5: Now after you have got the screen above you don't need to do anything else. Just scroll the page and select the option Save Changes.[this is optional if you can't save it its alright you don't need to do anything just wait 30 seconds or 1 minute or just go to your homepage or Home again]

 

 Step 6:After you have wait few seconds Go to your profile and you will see just a image like above picture and a button Get It Now so press get it. Remember not at your homepage or news feeds it will be in the profile page.

That is all once you have clicked Get It Now. Now it will redirect you to your Timeline. Your Timeline is private and one one else will able to see any data from your Timeline the settings is default. You can either edit it until you are ready to publish it, or you can ride it out and let Facebook publish it for you on September 29.Please remember if you login your account from any other computer then your Timeline is turned off. To get it back, enter the follow URL into your browser: http:www.facebook.com/[yourusername]?sk=timeline. Make sure to replace [yourusername] with your actual Facebook username.
